SAVING LIVES

Reaching the unreachable.

Over 6,000 people take their lives every year in the UK with somebody taking their life every 120 minutes. Three quarters of these shocking statistics are men.

Ian Gough and Tom Wrigley have teamed up with The David Riddell Memorial – a charity established to destigmatise mental illness by raising awareness of mental health,

The platform to do this? An event seen by the thousands, broadcast on TV with an 85% male attendance - the British GT Championship - the most prestigious grid of any national motorsport championship in the world.

High performance content

In 2024, we are competing in the BMW M4. Working with our content partners, we are to creating high-octane content to reach the automotive community.

The David Riddell Memorial.

David Riddell’s story is, sadly, like many others. He was a happily married, successful professional with two children and loving wife. He was 48 when he suddenly took his own life.

The David Riddell Memorial CIO was established to destigmatise mental illness by raising awareness of mental health, particularly amongst people working in the financial services sector and associated industries.

The charity looks to honour his life by providing support to charities that invest in, and empower, our young people.

Racing in British GT.

The British GT Championship is a sports car racing series based predominantly in the UK. It's one of the world's biggest domestic GT series featuring Aston Martin, Lamborghini, BMW, McLaren and Porsche. There are 7 races this year lasting 1, 2 or 3 hours.

With a huge fan following and exciting racing at the UK’s premier circuits, British GT provides a phenomenal day out and platform to raise awareness for our important life saving cause.

The drivers.

Ian Gough has motorsport in his DNA. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both internationally acclaimed rally drivers, the Gough name has been a regular fixture in competitive motorsport environments for the last 60 years.

Ian made the switch to GT racing in 2022 and in 2023 progressed to the 2023 British GT Championship, narrowly missing out on the title in the final round.

Ian is also a volunteer for The Lions Barber Collective alongside running growth for global advertising group, WPP.

Tom Wrigley is a proven winner. With multiple championships and race victories in karting, Ginetta GT and Porsche Carrera Challenge GB, Tom’s reputation for performance is second-to-none. Tom combines racing with his highly successful and influential performance engineering business, Tom Wrigley Performance.

Tom and Ian were racing together in 2023 in the British GT Championship. The exciting driver pairing stormed to 3rd in the championship with multiple race wins and pole positions, in a sensational rookie year.

Join us for a life changing day.

The Race to Save Lives welcomes guests from our incredible partners at every race of the British GT championships. Here is what you can expect on the day!

  • Reserved and convenient VIP parking on arrival followed by a champagne breakfast. A freshly prepared buffet with wine and beer is served for lunch followed by afternoon tea with cakes and biscuits.

This is all hosted in British GT's exclusive SRO Club, in the heart of the paddock. The club includes a live TV feed and timing and is a great place to hang out.

  • Watch race-tuned supercars (with thousands of horsepower!) built to both GT3 and GT4 regulations battle for the podium at one of the world's biggest domestic GT series. Lap up the 1, 2 or 3 hour races from the stands and take in the pit stops and driver changes.

This is one of the most intense and thrilling championships in the country.

  • Get up close to the cars as we take you out on track before the race begins. The starting grid has an atmosphere of its own as race cars weave their way into position and mechanics make last-minute checks. It's the ultimate all-access experience.

Note: safety regulations prevent under 16s from taking part in the grid walk.

  • Behind the scenes tour of the garage where you'll get up close and personal with the BMW GT4, the drivers and the crew.

  • Ohh goody, bag.

If photos and memories aren't enough, take home a collection of mementos to remember your day at the races.

  • At the start of each day, we will meet to discuss the campaign before being introduced to key partners and their thoughts.

Real hype.

In 2024, Ian and Tom will be competing in the the race winning BMW M4 GT4 with Century Motorsport. It’s a tonne of fun (literally), getting to 60 mph in 3 seconds with a mind-blowing eight-speed gearbox.
